November Billings Continue Fall, but at Slower Pace

November billings fell again with an index value of 45.3. This is a slower rate of decline than September and October. There was some good news in that inquiries about new projects jumped back into positive territory.

The commentary this month discusses potential interest rate reductions that could spur new projects and optimism among firm owners heading into 2024.

An aside, it appears that the AIA updated their website design.

November: 45.3, October: 44.3, September: 44.8, August: 48.1, July: 50.0, June: 50.1

Architizer put together a list of resolutions for architects and designers to adopt in 2024. It isn’t a bad list, but most are typical. I was drawn to “rein it it” and “banish the beige.”
